The seat harness is designed to take the load off the lower back. The spreader bar is positioned lower than the waist harness, providing a comfortable, stable flight. Beginners often prefer the seat harness over the waist harness becasue the kite is held more at the zenith. Thanks to the leg straps, there is no sliding around inside the harness. The seat harness makes it a lot easier to get inverted when jumping, as the connection to the kite is almost exactly in the center of the body.
