The wind range is dramatically improved on the Rapture in part because the front towpoints are moved forward relative to the center of effort, and positioned much higher than on a traditional 'inverted U' kite. This front towpoint configuration allows nearly 100% de-power in a 'sheeted-out' control bar position similar to the S.A.F.E. system found on the Windwing Rage II, without extra lines, bridles or battens.

Similarly, the rear towpoints are moved aft and higher which provides a much higher degree of angle of attack variation. The result is not only more precise sheeting and control, but also easy reverse launch capability in a nose-down position -- without trailing edge control lines or bridles. Turning is greatly enhanced by the longer wingtip chord and lower rotational inertia of a low-aspect planform.
