Coleman has developed a propane heater that may be used in enclosed areas, and even indoors. The advanced platinum catalytic combustion system converts propane to heat energy at 850 degrees F. This temperature is below the ignition point of most flammable materials. The catalytic process produces fewer gases such as nitrous oxide or carbon monoxide than conventional flame or radiant combustion at normal oxygen levels.
